About Jane Stelboum (EYT, Certified Brain Longevity Specialist)
Jane is an experienced yoga teacher/trainer in the Washington D.C. area and Certified Brain Longevity Specialist®, by the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation (ARPF). She founded Sarasvate (sar-as-vah-te´) in 2012 in honor of her mother Sarah, whom she lost to Alzheimer’s —a company whose mission is to prevent memory related diseases like Alzheimer’s and help those already impacted maintain a high quality of life as long as possible. She does this through workshops, caregiving training sessions, speaking engagements and private sessions. She has been a featured speaker at conferences by the Smithsonian Associates (Yoga as Lifestyle Medicine), Aging Life Care Association, Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA), Alzheimer’s Disease and Resource Center (ADRC) and many yoga studios, senior living communities and corporate offices along the east coast.
About Dr. Susan Pataky (C-IAYT):
Susan began her yoga journey in her early teens thanks to teenage angst. By 1979, she was the youngest graduate to become a Certified Yoga Therapist and immediately landed her first teaching gig thru the Board of Ed in her CT hometown. Her 42 year commitment on the yogic path continues today, cherishing all the teachings, expansiveness, and gifts yoga yields. With NYC a short train ride away she was blessed with taking classes and Continuing Ed modules with seasoned Elders & Gurus from original lineages who’d had migrated to the ‘West’. Today her teachings are a blend of East & West. Knowing those who desire a strong fitness-based workout have a wonderful large pool to swim in, she’s now focused her teachings exclusively as a Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), coming full circle back to her roots. She can be reached at 239.738.3856 and offers online and live workshops & classes. Yoga therapy and private yoga appointments are available by appointment. “Fear & Love are contagious… Only you can choose how you navigate your Life”-NAMASTE
